Eid is a time when the entire community comes together to share in each other’s joy and blessings and also to lessen the burden of those who may be suffering. Yes! Our Muslim Partners in MD haven’t left our families alone during this special occasion. The Giving Foundation provided 10 boxes of food items and also Eid gift cards to more than 30 families, i.e. 170 individuals who are celebrating this festival of togetherness far from their families and loved ones for the first time in the US.
The Employment Program Manager in our Maryland office drove the recent arrivals that have no access to transportation to Eid Shopping and helped them buy new clothes, shoes and toys. Mr. Ayoob who was resettled by LSSNCA during this pandemic in April 2020 enjoyed their first shopping experience in the US and thanked LSSNCA for facilitation and The Giving Foundation for their generous donation.
Lastly, The Giving Foundation also donated PPE (masks and hand sanitizer) to Hyattsville Staff in order to appreciate their services and commitment to serve to the vulnerable families during this difficult time.
Yet another amazing partner who distributed Ramadan food packages to our clients in MD i.e. MCMF donated $2400 to the families in need as a token of love and togetherness to make their Eid days more joyful and rich with happiness.
