Every year, families all across the United States celebrate National Adoption Day and the creation of forever families. The holiday was created to bring attention to the 100,000 children living in foster care and to finalize thousands of pending adoptions. Since its creation in 2000, nearly 50,000 children have been adopted from foster care into loving homes.
On November 22, LSS/NCA celebrated National Adoption Day with the Honorable Judge Anita Josey Herring. We were honored to witness the legal proceedings that gave homes to dozens of children and were excited to celebrate with our supporters and families.
